With a new coaching staff and a different philosophy happening at quarterback, there were bound to be changes in the recruiting philosophy at quarterback. On Tuesday, Paul Chryst and Co. extended their first official offer to a quarterback in the 2016 class.

The Badgers offered 4-star quarterback Brandon Peters, per Ryan Bartow of 247Sports. He is not only a 4-star quarterback but is the No. 8 pro-style quarterback in the class and the No. 151 overall prospect in the 2016 class per the 247Sports rankings.

The Avon, Ind. native is also the No. 10 pro-style quarterback and No. 262 overall player per the 247Sports composite rankings.

Peters’ Crystal Ball currently sits at 80 percent in favor of the Michigan Wolverines, but the Badgers offer could help to make things interesting in this recruitment. He also has offers from the likes of Virginia Tech, Indiana, Nebraska, Iowa, Boston College and LSU to date.

Peters is more the typical feel for a Wisconsin quarterback at 6-5 and 205 pounds, and it’s obvious the pure talent level he possesses via his junior season film. However, he can also clearly get things done with his feet when needed too.
