Badgers land commit from 2014 safety, move up in the rankings

Wisconsin seems to be hitting the majority of their official visits out of the park as of late and the latest proof comes from the verbal commitment of 2014 safety Lubern Figaro out of Everett, Massachusetts. Figaro becomes the 14th member of the 2014 recruiting class and it also has moved the Badgers up the rankings.

Figaro, a 3-star prospect, was also a teammate of current Badger Jakkarie Washington and between the visit and his relationship with Washington it appeared that was all he needed to make his decision.

He was supposed to make trips to see other schools, specifically Michigan State. According to Badger247 Figaro chose the Badgers over the Spartans, Boston College, Syracuse and Vanderbilt.

In the article on Badger247, Figaro states why he chose the Badgers before making other visits:

"I just loved it up there," Figaro told Badger247. "The way they treated me, the coaching staff recruited me, the environment, it was all great. It felt like I was back at home."

Figaro joins Tampa safety Austin Hudson as the only two commits at the position in this class so far.

Here is the tape on Figaro and the No. 1 thing that stands out is that he's got major instincts for the football, exactly what you need in a safety. Of course he also seems to be able to turn on the burners while running too.

The Badgers now rank 29th nationally and are 4th in the Big Ten, up from 33rd and 5th respectively following the commit of Chris Jones just a few weeks ago.
