According to our friends over at Badger247 Wisconsin will pick up yet another 2013 commitment ($), this time coming from safety Tyler Foreman. They are reporting he will announce the commitment to the Badgers on Saturday.
Foreman had narrowed down his choices as of late after announcing a final four of Wisconsin, UCLA, Utah, and Oklahoma.
This is yet another cap in the feather of what is shaping up to be easily Wisconsin's best recruiting class ever (as long as everyone signs on the dotted line the first Wednesday of February) and the depth in the secondary is scary good at this point. Foreman will join Matt Hubley as scholarship safeties for the Badgers in this class and will also see Sojourn Shelton and Keelon Brookins join them in the secondary as corners.
Credit has to go to Andy Buh on getting Foreman out of California at all. It's a great start to his recruiting prowess for Wisconsin out west. Apparently the Wisconsin business school was also a huge selling point for Foreman who's equally focused on his education along with playing football.
Foreman is about as prototypical a safety as you'll find in high school, standing 6'2" tall and weighing 190lbs. He has a reputation as a huge hitter and having an ability to track and close on the football very well. Having seen his tape it's clear he's got a bright future ahead of him and Wisconsin is going to really enjoy having him alongside the likes of D.J. Singleton and Co. in the next crop of safeties.
He is rated a four star safety by both 247sports and Scout and is a three star by Rivals and ESPN Recruiting Nation. Here's how the services break down his rankings:
- 247sports: No. 202 in Top247, No. 17 Safety, No. 18 in CA
- Rivals: NR nationally, No. 30 Safety, No. 41 in CA
- Scout: No. 9 Safety
- ESPNRN: No. 32 Safety, No. 67 in CA, No. 98 in region

In fact, according to the 247sports rankings the Badgers have moved up to 3rd in the Big Ten and 27th nationally with the commit. Rivals have them 28th and 4th in the Big Ten (Illinois, Ohio State, and Michigan ahead).
