The Wisconsin Badgers wrestling team continues to receive love in the preseason rankings.
UW was tabbed as the No.13 tournament team in the land and the No.15 dual meet squad in the InterMat preseason rankings.
Three Badgers earned individual recognition from Intermat.
Isaac Jordan is ranked second at 165 pounds, while Ryan Taylor (133) and Ricky Robertson (174) are ranked No.4 and No.10, respectively.
BTN Announces Broadcast Schedule
The Big Ten Networked released its broadcast slate for the upcoming campaign. Ten of Wisconsin’s dual meets will be carried in some fashion.
UW’s home match against Iowa on Jan. 15 will air live on BTN, while nine additional matches will be carried on BTN Plus:
Nov. 12 vs. UW-Whitewater
Dec. 13 at Penn State
Jan 8. vs. Nebraska
Jan. 22 at Rutgers
Jan. 24 at Maryland
Jan. 31 vs. Illinois
Feb. 7 vs. Minnesota
Feb. 12 at Ohio State
Feb. 21 vs. Northwestern
BTN coverage will also include the Badgers’ trips to the Midlands Championships (Dec. 29-30) and the Big Ten Championships (March 5-6).
Red/White Dual Slated for Saturday
Wisconsin will open up its season with the annual intrasquad scrimmage at the UW Fieldhouse on Saturday at 4 p.m.
The event will feature 12 matches in 10 different weight classes. Matchups for the dual are being announced this week on Wisconsin Wrestling’s Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts. MTB will run a full preview once all of the matchups have been unveiled.
Admission to Saturday’s dual is free. Gates open at 3:30 pm.
