This is it. This is the last “Michigan Hate Week” that Notre Dame will have for a very long time. Please forgive me if I don’t shed any tears. It’s not that I don’t look forward to this game, it’s just that I really don’t care if it is ever played again.
I’ll save the debate about whether this is a rivalry game or not to those that love to watch ESPN’s First Take (tools). This is about something much different.
Over the past 6 years. Notre Dame is only 2-4 against Michigan. Two wins in six years, despite dominating for the majority of the game in almost all of those years. There is unfinished business due this week, and that business is an ass-whooping.
History would suggest that this game should be fairly close, and a lot of Irish fans would gladly just take a “W” in any form or fashion- but not this week. I am normally in the camp of “just win” every week, but this game is different. The unfinished business isn’t just a victory, it’s that fatal blow of destruction and then showing up at the funeral with a bottle of Jim Beam and pissing all over the grave. That would somewhat make up for the damn near inexcusable losses in 2009, 2010, and 2011 (all self-inflicted and job-robbers).
Finish this, and bring this guy to the funeral.
