It didn’t take long for Barret Jackman to find a new team. After the Blues made it publicly known that they wouldn’t be signing the defenseman, numerous teams expressed their interest including a few from the Central Division. The Central is exactly where Jackman has landed as he has signed a deal with the Nashville Predators.

The deal is reportedly a two-year contract worth $4 million.
While it’s understandable that the Blues are opting for younger players on defense, it’s still sad to see Jackman go – especially to a division rival. At the very least, it may be easier to stomach Jackman wearing mustard yellow as opposed to Blackhawks red.
