Even when he’s doing his best to stay out of trouble…Barry Bonds seems to find it.
For whatever reason, baseball’s home run king (and the current Miami Marlins hitting coach) posted some pictures on Instagram from a recent trip he took to Africa.

Yikes.
Naturally, not everyone was excited.
“It’s been only a year since Walter Palmer gunned down Cecil the lion, and here comes Barry Bonds posing with the corpses of African animals he’s killed for a thrill and Instagram posts,” PETA said in response to the pictures. “A stuffed head or a pair of antlers is no replacement for the trophies that Bonds hasn’t been able to win since his doping scandal.”
Since Bonds is busy gigging with the Marlins, it’s hard to know for sure when those pictures were taken. That said, given the lightning rod of controversy the seven-time MVP is…why would he think posting pictures of himself with dead animals was a good idea?
