Boxing has begun to see a return to prominence here in the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex following a string of high-profile fight cards culminating in this past weekend’s HBO After Dark card at the University of Texas at Arlington. However, boxing fans in North Texas need not fear any potential void of live pugilistic action as this Saturday night will feature a fight card filled to the rafters with some of the best local boxers in the DFW.

Dubbed the “Battle of Texas,” Boxing Wars Promotions will host a fight card this Saturday night at the Big Town Events Center in Mesquite, TX that is sure to produce some epic fights. Headlined by an action-packed bout between hard-hitters Alex del Bosque taking on Jose Saenz, the card features a plethora of upcoming pugilistic talent. Some names to whet your fistic appetites include the likes of Manuel Rojas, Oscar Mojica, and Paco Cruz. Additionally, the “Battle of Texas” will feature the highly anticipated return of Lisa “The Lady Bulldog” Lamb to the squared circle. A fan favorite here in the DFW, Lamb has been away from the ring for over two years and drew no easy task in fighting rising prospect Jazz Clarkson.
