This afternoon Whit Babcock announced that Cincinnati would play a home and home football series with the Boise State Broncos. Don't get too excited, the series doesn't start until 2019. On September 21, 2019 Cincinnati travels to Boise. On September 26, 2020, Boise returns to Nippert Stadium. Or maybe it will be Scott King Stadium by that point. 2020 is when UC will travel to Nebraska.
Cincinnati and Boise State have never played. They are two of the teams left out of the bigger conferences fighting for the at large birth into the bowl games. Winning high profile games like this will help UC and Boise out a ton trying to get one of the elusive playoff births as well.
It's an awesome piece of news to start the year.
