Bearcats BlogCast: Branch Campus Beatdown

Hi and happy holidays, everyone. This edition of the Bearcats BlogCast comes to you as the perfect stocking stuffer and will make your holiday travels much simpler and easier. That’s because Chris Bains and myself are here to talk Cincinnati basketball.

We start with what exactly went sideways in the Bearcats road loss to Mississippi State. There are a lot of topics covered here, for instance, we talk about the offensive efficiency, Jarron Cumberland and Keith Williams carrying the offense, Tre Scott, the three point shooting and execution.

The conversation turns from what wonky to what went oh so well in the Bearcats obliteration of UCLA. UC has defeated UCLA so much recently that they have become the University of Cincinnati – Los Angeles, hence the title of this episode. Once again, we gush about Keith Williams and everything he’s done to improve his game, the juxtaposition between the Mississippi State game and this one, the dominance of Nysier Brooks, but we didn’t talk about Bob Huggins’ shoes. Sorry if you tuned in for shoe talk.

The podcast is wrapped up by glowing talk of how the AAC has elevated itself as a league so far in non-conference play. No, really, it is positive AAC basketball talk for the second week in a row. Who knew such things were possible.

There will be a Military Bowl preview next week, so if you were waiting for that, it’s coming closer to the game.

You can find the podcast on iTunes, Stitcher, Google Play and anywhere else podcasts are found, as we have gone double dipping. If there are more places you want the podcast, I will provide them. As always, thank you for your support. It’s greatly appreciated.
