On this edition of the Bearcats BlogCast, Chris Bains of Cincy on the Prowl, Matt Opper of Down the Drive and I put Cincinnati Bearcats basketball through the ringer. The first thing we cover is the news that Ge’Lawn Guyn was granted his release from the program. We break down the Bearcats game against Tulane over the weekend and talk about the offense. We discuss whether Cincinnati’s free falling free throw rate and percentage is a concern. I came down in the concerned camp.
We then move on to break down tonight’s big game against Tulsa, giving our predictions and what has to happen for the Bearcats to win. The AAC tournament is discussed. Most of the discussion is about how deep Cincinnati would have to go for the Bearcats to be considered safe for the NCAA tournament. To close, we discuss who the Bearcats could end up facing in the tournament and once again rank our preferences.
The show this week runs about 97 minutes, a lot longer than usual. The podcast is available on iTunes and Stitcher. If you have any ideas for future guests, let me know and I’ll do my best to get them. Thanks for listening.
