For this edition of the Bearcats BlogCast, I’m once again joined by regular co-host Chris Bains of Cincy on the Prowl. This week’s podcast runs for a little more than an hour. The podcast is available on iTunes, where it is very much appreciated that you subscribe and review. That helps more people find the show. The podcast is also available on Stitcher.

Chris and I dive right into some of the aspects of the Bearcats loss to Brigham Young last Friday night. Namely, we discuss the running back situation. Who should be the man getting the bulk of the carries? Chris and I have the same thoughts there.

That dovetails into the running defense, and the defense in general, which was greatly exploited against the Cougars. This topic ends up taking us down a bit of a dark path given the recent history of Cincinnati defensive performances under Tommy Tuberville.

Chris and I talk about how good a job Tuberville is doing and the future of the program, as well as the manufactured quarterback controversy. Previewing the Bearcats game against Connecticut this weekend is also tied into the Tuberville talk.

From there, we cover the AAC and give our predictions on what should be an interesting week of AAC football.

The podcast is closed with us discussing the contract extension of athletic director Mike Bohn.
