Bears Vs. Vikings: Mushroom Stamp Winner

It’s finally here! The last poop stamp of the season.

All year long, Vikings players (and some real shit-head coaches!) have fought over the opportunity to crowned with a brown smudge atop their foreheads. For some, it was a remarkable achievement. For others, it was an uneditable mark. Of poop. But, they deserved it. For sucking.

If this was a normal year, Adrian Peterson would have been awarded all of the stamps, because he would have been the most outstanding player on the field, and we would have won every game. That’s just how things work. As is, we had to make due with good and bad stamps. The full list for the year so far is below, but we of course have one final award to give out for Week 17, which we are obviously giving to Teddy Bridgewater again, as you can see in the banner image.

I don’t know if he actually deserves because of his game against the Bears, or what. There were others players that played outstanding, too. Audie Cole and Gerald Hodges both had strong showings. Adam Thielen was a bright spot. Even Matt Kalil didn’t give up a sack to Jared Allen! That is noteworthy in and of itself. But stamp worthy? I don’t know.

The thing with Bridgewater is that every time he touches the ball I just get excited, like a stripper at a bachelor party. Something is going to happen, probably something super awesome, but even if it’s bad you don’t care because it was so hot. You know what I mean? And, for the most part, Teddy was once again outstanding on Sunday. 17/25 (68%, better than Cutler), 209 yards (better than Cutler), 1 TD (better than Cutler), and a 90.2 rating (whatever that’s good for, but also, better than Cutler). So, of course, Teddy is better than Jay Cutler, but also is just a good quarterback in his own right.

AND HE’S ALL OURS! That’s exciting.

So congrats, Teddy. You get this year’s final weekly Mushroom Stamp. But are you THE Mushroom Stamp winner of 2014? We’ll have a season recap on the stamps later. But, the answer is probably yes.
