Beckett and Tek Lead Sox, But Nature Bats Last

Josh Beckett had a great start at Fenway tonight, going seven innings and only giving up one earned run on for hits.  The Rays took a one run lead in the third inning before Tek tied it up with his third homer of the season in the fifth.

Oki and Paps pitched the eighth and ninth without giving up a hit.  The Red Sox were ready to try to tie it in the bottom of the ninth when the umps suspended play due to the rain.  The game will resume on Saturday at 7:10 with Big Papi leading off for the Red Sox.  Fans are rooting for a walk-off.
