WWE Smackdown Live star Becky Lynch rose out of her self-proclaimed ashes in 2018 to become one of WWE’s hottest Superstars, and she kicks off 2019 with tremendous momentum heading into WrestleMania 35 in New Jersey.
Prior to the end of the year, Lynch was set to go one-on-one with Raw Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey at WWE Survivor Series, but a concussion forced The Lasskicker out the bout and she was replaced by her nemesis Charlotte Flair. Rousey and Flair went on to have a highly praised match at the PPV, which ended when Flair lost it on Rousey and viciously attacked her, setting up a future bout between the two top WWE stars.
Prior to the match between Rousey and Flair, Becky Lynch named Flair her replacement at Survivor Series, then proceeded to hug Flair, a move which left many fans scratching their heads given the heated rivalry in which the two had previously been engaged.

“…and then I have to watch Charlotte Flair step into my role”, said Lynch. “And clearly you hug people you don’t like when you’re concussed because I don’t know what I was doing; wouldn’t have ever hugged her in a million years in a sober state. I have to watch her try to be bootleg Becky at Survivor Series acting like she’s me, thinking she’s tough, thinking she’s edgy. That woman couldn’t have any edge if she turned into a Rubik’s cube.”
Also during the interview, Becky Lynch opened up about her trash talking ways on social media, noting it’s “fun” to express herself the way she does on Twitter and Instagram. “That’s where the fun is,” admitted Lynch. “That’s where the fun is. You know, the thing is, if you’re going to say anything about me, just prepare that I’m going to come back at you. And if you’re not prepared for that, well then I would advise getting my name out of your mouth.”
