With 34 days until the Wisconsin Basketball team opens up it's season at the Kohl Center against Southeastern Louisiana, today we'll look at #34, Junior transfer Zach Bohannon.
* 39
Zach Bohannon, brother of former Badger and 1000 point scorer Jason Bohannon, played in 39 games in his 2 year career at Air Force. Bohannon chose to transfer to Wisconsin after his sophomore season. By rule, Bohannon sat out last year.
* 3.4
Bohannon averaged 3.4 points a game in his career at Air Force. He shot 52.3% from the field, including a 60% shooting percentage in his Freshman season. Like what his brother Jason was know for, Zach is a sharpshooter.
* 12 – 8 – 5
In a big road game against Utah in 2011, Bohannon recored 12 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists- all career highs. Air Force won the game 54-49 thanks to Bohannon's solid contribution off the bench.
Cole's 2012 Projected Stats for Zach Bohannon: 3.4 mpg, 1.2 ppg, 0.5 rpg
Anaylsis
With the Badgers having depth at the Small Forward and Power Forward positions, I don't see Zach getting a lot of playing time this year. However, like his brother, he's a hard worker and will have an opportunity to earn a spot in the rotation. Coming from a place like Air Force, he'll be in great shape and will have a lot of experience under his belt. Plus, we know he has a lot of determination after convincing President Obama to visit the team via twitter. I wouldn't be surprised at all if he saw some solid playing time this season, but he will have to earn it.
