No surprises here. If Beltre does sign elsewhere the Red Sox will get two more draft picks since Beltre is a type A free agent. The Sox already have picks from Martinez signing with Detroit and they will get another when Lopez signs elsewhere. This allows Theo to include some prospects in trade deals as he can replenish the farm system in the draft.
