Adrian Beltre was awarded MLB’s Silver Slugger Award today for being the best hitting third baseman in the AL. Beltre’s great season will make it very tough for the Red Sox to bring him back at a price they would like. Scott Boras is already counting his cash:
“I would have to say in my years of doing this I’ve never had so much interest in one player.”
I’m not sure I believe that much coming from the source, I think Boras even said that about Andruw Jones after he hit .220. Beltre will have a big payday but he is not getting Mark Teixeira money.
