Best offense of the decade

Major tip to Stan.  Indy is better than you can even believe.

If anyone needed any more confirmation of Peyton Manning’s greatness, here it is. No other offense comes close to the Colts. In a distant second place is Denver, with less than half of the WPA of the Colts.

I was surprised to see that the Colts’ 2006 season (7.7 WPA) eclipses the Patriots’ undefeated 2007 season (+6.5). New England broke many offensive records that year, but running up the score doesn’t add much to WPA. A late touchdown on top of a 0.98 WP doesn’t make much of a difference.
