With Preseason coming up, I should remind everyone that its preseason for EVERYONE! Officials will make mistakes, Teams will screw up, and announcers…well announcers do it all year long.
Here though, is one of our Preseason memories; 2006 Tampa Bay at Jacksonville, and Mike Alstott scores a TD in the first quarter.
No problem.
The problem is the two point conversion, which is a fake, and the punter is supposed to throw the ball in the endzone.
What happens is not as important as how its called, because the announcers cant tell that the point is good…but they continue to say …ha ha ha nice try, good thing it wasnt regular season…meanwhile the Bucs are celebrating!!
When they come back from commercial, they realize their mistake!!
Greg Gumble and Dan Dierdorf are good sports about it!
