Big Game Tonight for Defensive side

cupshirt1

The Cowboys are taking on the Dolphins shortly, we expect the starting offense to go a full half. Supposedly Romo won’t play into the 3rd, but we’ll see.

The offensive side of the ball is light years ahead of schedule with position battles being locked in; however, the defensive side of the ball is full of uncertainty up and down that squad. Tonight we should get a preview of what players will have a shot of making this team.

In particular I’m interested in seeing if Anthony Hitchens can  bounce back and push for a starting spot.

I want to see if we are in trouble at right defensive end. The Cowboys need to get pressure off the edge and if Jeremy Mincey, Wilson, or Rayford can’t get there, the Cowboys may need to make a roster move or trade. Let’s see how the pass rush looks tonight

I want to see if Zach Minter is the real deal. Can Minter put together another harassing performance? If so, he’ll push for a roster spot, possibly knocking out bubble players.

B.W. Webb be getting another game full of action, and the evaluation on him will be closely monitored because, Mo Claiborne will miss tonights game, and I doubt he’ll play the final game since he’s so fragile. The Cowboys need to be prepared to look for more corner help if they don’t like what they see in Webb and others with extended play. Huge game for the secondary if you ask me. Claiborne can’t be counted on, I give up on this dude. Bust.

Let’s see how Davon Coleman and Ken Bishop tonight, they can cement their spots with a good showing tonight, they’ll need to continue on their upward path. I like what we have on defensive tackle, and these guys may be starting with questions still surrounding the health of Henry Melton. We have yet to see Terrell McClain play against any opponents, so there could be some concern with that.
