A lot of stuff went down during the Minnesota Twins 20-6 shellacking of the Detroit Tigers Friday night, but, let’s be honest, fans of the American League Central cellar dwellers have little to be excited about.
Except this.
Prior to the season, gas station SuperAmerica partnered up with the team as a presenting sponsor for the entire 2014 season. And as part of that promotion, they are offering Twins fans one cent per hit off of each gallon of gas they buy.
Meaning…until Saturday night (the deal is only good for 24 hours), Minnesota residents are looking at twenty cents off their purchase after they fill up on fuel. And in case you were wondering, gas in the Twin Cities is going to run you, after the discount, a cool $3.15 a gallon.
Not too shabby.
