Bill Murray Takes Turn Tearing Tickets

Since 1993, the St. Paul Saints baseball sideshow team has called Midway Stadium home.

But, on Thursday night, the American Association of Independent Professional Baseball team that once, famously, helped resurrect the career of Darryl Strawberry, added a legless player to its roster and showcases a “ball pig” played its final game at the downtown ballpark.

Among the record crowd on hand for the Saints home finale, co-owner (and team psychologist) Bill Murray who greeted fans at the front gate, taking his turn tearing tickets.
