Bills Run Over Patriots But Brady’s Back!

“Every week is a challenge in this league. We all know that. We just have to perform better. We have to coach better. We have to play better in all three phases of the game. It’s like that every week in the National Football League. If you don’t perform well, you don’t do well. Every team is good in this league” said a frustrated Bill Belichick.

It was not pretty at all in Foxboro, Massachusetts today as the Bills just about ran the Patriots out of Gillette Stadium. We have seen the two extremes in two weeks for the Patriots as they go from shutting out the Texans in primetime to being shutout today against the Bills. That’s right the Patriots could find the scoreboard today as nothing seemed to click on offense or defense. But don’t worry everyone stay calm because Brady is officially back!

The big question coming into this game was who will be starting under center for the Patriots, will it be Jimmy Garoppolo or will it be Jacoby Brissett. it was a game-time decision for the Patriots  and they went with Brissett as they made Garoppolo inactive.

This was a big surprise to me as I thought for sure he would at least dress and be able to go in on an emergency basis. The decision came right down to game time as Belichick said he made his decision “When we made him inactive.” Something tells me they wanted and prepared for Garoppolo to start as the whole gameplan with Brissette was just flat out awful. The Patriots just looked underprepared and that is something we never see.

Tyrod Taylor and LeSean McCoy were a thorn in the Patriots side all day. “Yeah, they’re good players. We obviously didn’t do a good enough job of it” said Bill Belichick. Tyrod Taylor ended the game going 27-of-39 for 246 yards and a single touchdown. This compared to Brissett who went 17-of-27 for 205 yards. LeSean McCoy ran all over the Patriots putting up 70 yards in 19 carries.

For the first time in a long time, there were really no positives to take out of this game it reminds me a lot of last years loss to the Philadelphia Eagles it was just not a good game. But that is why you play a full season and not just one game. I am perfectly happy with a 3-and-1 record as quite honestly I thought the first three games were going to look a lot like today did. But Brady is back he is taking names and number and will be ready to take on the Browns next Sunday so buckle up.
