Joe@buffalowins (4-3)- The Bills are finally getting healthier and it couldn’t come at a better time. This team needs this win badly on Sunday. If they drop to 3-5, we can start talking draft and whether or not Whaley is going to get canned. The Bills have held the Dolphins to just 2 offensive TDs in their last 3 home games against them. Tannehill is 2-5 against the Bills for his career and is completing just 55% of his passes against the Bills and has a QB rating of 74.4. He’s been sacked 25 times in 7 games against Buffalo. While Miami has struggled on offense against the Bills, so have the Bills. Prior to the Bills putting up 4 offensive TDs against Miami in their last meeting, the Bills scored just 4 offensive TDs in their previous 5 games.
With Tyrod Taylor coming back, this is a big spot for him. Before he got hurt, he was kind of crashing down to earth with his performances against the Titans/Giants. If he struggles against a team he played well against earlier this season, we are gonna have to start combing the QB draft class for next year. To me, I don’t believe Miami is a different team than from the start of the year. So they crushed two really shitty teams? That doesn’t mean things are different. I’m not trying to say the Bills are good or anything, but I feel they are better based on their performance in South Florida in September. Bills win, 16-6.
@mack10zie This is the week. This is the Bills healthy, with their season on the line, against the team most fans would consider their biggest rival. Miami is certainly improved since the last time these two teams met. They fired the lifeless coach for a guy who wins the locker room. In a lot of ways, the new Dolphins head coach reminds me of Rex Ryan. There are 2 big differences between these two teams right now, and for once, I think they both favor the Bills. First of all I feel Buffalo needs this win more. The Bills are still in the middle of the wold card conversation, and winning this jump starts their second half. The biggest factor are injuries. Miami is without their best DE, and are playing with a scrambled OL. This is the week Buffalo’s D brings it. I like Buffalo, 23-13.
Michael Necci @manecci (4-3) The Bills host The Dolphins. Both teams aren’t good, and Buffalo can’t win at home for some reason. Miami 27 Buffalo 20. Big weekend for College Football. Clemson v Florida St , TCU v Oklahoma St (if you like points and no defense there is your watch), and the big on Alabama vs LSU. A loss by Alabama should/will knock them out of playoff contention. Is a hot dog a sandwich?
Mike Migliore (@mmigliore) Record: 4-3- Bill Simmons referred to this Sunday’s Bills-Dolphins game as a “Loser Leaves Town” match on his podcast this week and I couldn’t agree more. With both teams at 3-4, the loser of this game will pretty much be eliminated, thus leaving the AFC wild card race. The Bills beat Miami 41-14 back in September, but I don’t trust the Bills at all to win this one. Recent history tells us that the Bills don’t win important AFC games in November and December. Miami still sucks, but they’re not the complete tire fire they were at the end of September. The Dolphins put themselves in a hole in the last meeting by turning the ball over three times in the first half. They hang onto the ball in this one and find a way to win at the end in stupid fashion. The 3-5 Bills begin preparing for the draft. Prediction: Dolphins 23, Bills 20
Brett Ludwiczak – @BLeez17 – 3-4- The Bills are starting to get healthy at the right time and with Tyrod Taylor back their two-game losing streak should come to an end. With three straight games against AFC East opponents, the Bills know the importance of getting this stretch off to a good start with a win, especially since the next two games are on the road. They don’t quite match the domination of the Dolphins from earlier in the season, but it is another solid win for the Bills. Buffalo 27 Miami 17
Luke Wachob (4-3) @lukewachob – It’s November, which means the dreams of Bills fans are about to die a miserable death. The Bills haven’t had a winning record in November games since 2006, and have started the month with a loss every year since JP Losman came off the bench to beat Cincy in 2007. (If you’re following along at home, that’s the year of the Dallas MNF loss, the 15-14 buzzer beater FG loss to Denver on opening day, the 56-10 spanking by New England at home on Sunday Night, and losses in the final 3 weeks of the season, including an 8-0 loss to Cleveland, to turn a 7-6 record into 7-9. Why are we still watching this stupid sport?!) I think they’ll snap the 2007 streak, but not the 2006 one. A win versus Miami gets our hopes up, a loss to the Jets brings us back down to reality. Action, reaction. Bills 20-17.
Scott Michalak (@ScottyMCSS) (5-2) The Bills are rested, they are healthy (mostly), and are facing an inferior team at home. It’s the perfect recipe to start turning the season around. I’d be shocked if the Bills screw this one up. I’m sure we’re due at least one #SpecialTeamsPenalty, but the Bills have to be done giving games away through penalties and turnovers (because if they aren’t, this season will be over in a hurry). Buffalo will live to fight another Sunday. Bills 37, Fish 17.
Chris @2ITB_Buffalo: Now that I’m back in the states I might as well participate in this. I’m sure you’re all very excited. The Bills were bad with EJ Manuel at the helm, there’s no getting around it. He helped set up short fields for their opponents which reflected poorly on Buffalo’s defense. The last time the Bills had a healthy compliment of Tyrod Taylor, Shady McCoy, Karlos Williams and Sammy Watkins was the Dolphins win. Now, Watkins isn’t 100% for this week and he and Shady both left the previous Phins game with injury, but this is probably the first time all year the Bills have had nearly every offensive weapon healthy. Even so, they still have a couple key players lingering on the injury report.
But knowing that Roman and Taylor have a much more impressive arsenal of weapons compared to what they’ve had going back to week five, I’m feeling quite confident that the Bills will win this game. I’m not entirely sold on the new-look Dolphins and given how Buffalo played in Miami earlier in the year, I’d expect a strong showing this week. Bills win (I’m not picking a score because I’m never close and I hate doing it).
Rich (@RDotDeuce, 4-3): With the exception of Harvin and Kyle Williams, the Bills are as close to full strength as they’ve been all season. Hopefully they will have enough for a revamped Dolphins team that’s powered by Metallica and meat products. I’m still a bit annoyed by the Jags game, but Tannehill’s record on the road and the Bills’ ability to play him tough leads me to think it’ll be a 28-24 game in favor of the Bills.
Brad Gelber, @BradleyGelber (3-4): The most important thing is that this team is finally getting healthy. Second is that EJ returns to the bench. Hopefully the BYE week also gave Rex some time to come up with better ways to utilize his under-productive defensive line. The Bills cannot lose to the Dolphins, they just can’t. 20-13 Bills
Sean – @SeanCorleone (4-3) The Bills are back from their bye and the week off couldn’t have come at a better time. The Bills return this week as a much healthier unit overall as they take on Miami at the Ralph this Sunday in a divisional game that they absolutely need to win. The loss the the Jaguars could potentially do this team in when it’s all said and done, but luckily for us the rest of the AFC isn’t that great. The Bills still control their own destiny for the most part, but in order to make a legitimate playoff run, they will need to win at least 6 of their final 9 games. If you’ve looked at their remaining schedule, you will see why many are pessimistic. While the strength of schedule is in their favor, many of the remaining games are on the road, and this team will need to start gelling if they want to make a run. That means no more stupid penalties, no more dropping Mario into coverage, and no more nonsense to fuel narratives. This is where it needs to turn around, and thank God Tyrod is back. Let’s just hope he can stay healthy for the rest of the year, otherwise, the Bills are screwed. For this game, I think the defense gets back on track, and the offense picks up where they left off before injuries decimated their weaponry. My prediction for this week is the Bills over the Dolphins by a final score of 24-17
