If you’ve watched any of the World Series, you know that when it comes to celebrities…the Chicago Cubs are light years ahead of the Cleveland Indians.
But here’s the thing. If the seemingly never ending cutaways of John Cusack, Vince Vaughn, Jim Belushi and the like are little too much for you to handle…you’re not alone.
Billy Corgan agrees.
“I don’t talk to other Cubs celebrities,” the Smashing Pumpkins frontman said. “In fact, I’m anti-Cubs celebrity. Although I know a few Cubs celebrities, other Cubs celebrities tend to show up when the playoffs are around. I don’t necessarily see them in June. I might be a little biased being a Chicagoan year-round.”
I see where Corgan is coming from…I guess.
But, honestly, doesn’t the whole thing sound a little like “I liked the Cubs before it was popular”? We get it, man…you’re too cool for school. Just stay away from Game Seven.
