…for Thursday night’s 4-2 loss to the Pirates. Leaving Bush in for 111 pitches, and 4 runs, all earned in the 7th, was the death blow. Sure, no guarantee that the bullpen would have held, and give kudos to Tom Gorzelanny and the Bucs’ staff to holding the Brewers to just 2 runs.
Side note:
At the 1/6th mark of the season (after Wednesday’s game), the Brewers are on pace for:
* 108 victories
* J.J. Hardy to hit 36 HR’s, 114 RBI’s, and 204 hits
* Jeff Suppan and Chris Capuano each getting 24 wins
* Coco Cordero getting 60 saves
…wouldn’t that be a great season?
