I caught up with Joe Webb of Rams Herd who was nice enough to give me a little info on Fairley. Here’s what he had to say:
He did well as a rotational player, I didn’t see the “effort” or “motor” issues that Lions fans complained about, but he was playing fewer snaps. He and Brockers basically played the same role, plugging gaps rather than shooting them most of the time. Tends to stay at home, doesn’t get out of position, but won’t necessarily get a ton of sacks or TFLs either.
