The St. Louis Blues may add some young talent to their roster during the playoffs. A report from the Post-Dispatch suggests that the team may call on both Robby Fabbri and Ivan Barbashev to join the NHL roster once their respective seasons are complete.
Fabbri is currently skating in the OHL playoffs while Barbashev is skating in the QMJHL playoffs. When their teams are eliminated, the two are expected to join the Blues. Realistically, this means they’ll join the team for practice and that will be the extent of their role barring some injuries.
Calling up Fabbri and Barbashev would be a precaution. Why not bring up the young talent and introduce them to the squad and have them available should the injury bug strike?
