Paul Bissonnette has been released from his tryout with the Blues. During his brief time with St. Louis, Biz didn’t make a strong enough of an impression to land a permanent spot with the team. He’s also dealing with a pulled groin, but his ailment didn’t factor in the decision.
Bissonnette confirms he has been released from his tryout. More later.

It was always pretty surprising that Biz was asked to tryout as the Blues already had more forwards than they knew what to do with. Though on paper the line of Biz-Lapierre-Reaves sounded pretty interesting, Biz just wasn’t been able to offer more beyond his willingness to drop the mitts. Speaking to that last point, he wasn’t even very sharp even when he did drop the mitts.
Biz is trying to reshape his game and become a player who can contribute beyond the stereotypical enforcer role. In essence, he’s trying to become Ryan Reaves. Considering the Blues already have a Reaves and they have other tough bodies across the roster, there wasn’t room for Biz.
