Regardless of how Game 4 ends against the Stars, there’s one extremely positive story to come from the Blues. The St. Louis Blues are donating the proceeds from Game 4’s 50-50 raffle to benefit Fort McMurray. Normally the raffle benefits the Blues for Kids and Blues Alumni associations, but this is a much better cause and an extremely generous gesture by the Blues.

Fort McMurray, which is located in northeast Alberta, is dealing with a disastrous wildfire. The fire has forced 88,000 residents from their homes in Fort McMurray and it has already consumed over 1,000 homes/structures.
The disaster hits particularly close to home to Scottie Upshall who grew up in Fort McMurray. He, as well as other Blues skaters and Ken Hitchcock, have stated how their hearts are with the city and that the disaster is weighing heavily on their minds.

It’s a great gesture by the Blues, but a lot more will be needed based on the destruction already caused by the fire.
