Jackman had more than his fair share of detractors, but the defenseman consistently worked hard and served the Blues both on and off the ice throughout his 803 regular season games and 29 playoff games with the organization. Jackman broke into the NHL with the Blues back in 2001-02 (he skated in just one game), but his first real taste of NHL hockey came in 2002-03 when he won the Calder Trophy which is awarded to the league’s best rookie. Jackman claiming the award speaks volumes of his character, but it also demonstrates how much the league has changed over the last decade.
