Will the Blues have a more difficult travel schedule in 2015-16 compared to 2014-15? In terms of pure mileage, yes, but the difference between 2015-16 is fairly negligible. The Blues will travel a total of 40,649 miles during their road schedule, an increase over their 38,965-mile schedule last season.

This information, compiled by On the Forecheck, illustrates that the Blues don’t have a tremendously difficult travel schedule compared to the rest of the NHL. They’ll travel the 14th-most miles, which is actually an improvement as they had the 15th-most miles in 2014-15, despite having a lower overall total.

In terms of the always discussed back-to-back games, the Blues will compete in 12 back-to-back games compared to the 14 they participated in last year.

Which team will travel the most? The honor belongs to the San Jose Sharks who will travel a total of 50,362 miles. On the other end of the spectrum is the Detroit Red Wings and their 33,487 miles.
