Bob and Dupree’s Week 9 NFL Picks Against the Spread

Do you even read this post or just overlook it because you know how poorly we have been this year at picking NFL games against the spread?  So I can just type kald;jfasjkf;jfdsl the rest of the way and you wouldn’t even notice, right?

Dupree and I have had a rough go of it this season, both stuck at a lowly 53-60.  Dupree tied things up last week, going 6-7, despite starting 6-2 heading into the later games.  I held on to first place by a thread when I correctly picked the Falcons to cover as the underdogs on Monday Night.

Week 9 provides a lot of weak match ups if you ask me — only 4-6 good games really.  As you’ll see, I don’t have many underdogs covering.

Here are Bob’s Week 9 picks:

I dropped to 5-3 on the season with the Game of the Week picks after Green Bay failed to stick it to the old man that wanted to stick it to them and did so successfully.  This week, I’m not really presented with a “bold” GOW, so I’ll have to actually make a difficult decision for the first time this season.

I guess I’ll go with the Chicago/Arizona game in Chicago.  I pick Chicago to win, but I think this is going to be a very good football game.  Cutler and the Bears are fresh off butt whooping Cleveland, so they might have a bit of a hangover — you know, it takes some time to figure out that you’re playing a real football team again after playing someone like the Browns.  Meanwhile, Arizona is coming off an embarrassing loss to the Panthers, so they are going to be fired up and looking for Cutler’s sugar.   Bears win it in the end, though.

And for some other picks, here are Dupree’s:
