Bob, Chip, and Dupree’s Week 4 NFL Picks Against the Spread

Last week was better for D4L, but we’re still pretty rusty.  Chip took the cake with a 10-6 record, while Dupree and I shared the taste of second place at 9-7.  I split in predicting my GOW as I was dead wrong with the Falcons over the Patriots pick, as New England showed Matt Ryan and co. they have a ways to go still before they become a premiere team in this league.

I was, however, right with the Saints and Lions pick.  That has to count for something.

Here are my Week 4 NFL picks against the spread:

I have the Lions covering in Chicago, riding the wave of their first win in two years.  It’s blatant homerism.

I don’t think anyone has to predict what the game of the week is in Week 4.  ESPN will tell us.  Green Bay takes on Brett Favre and the Minnesota Vikings (wow that sounds weird) in Favre’s first game against his old team.    This game will be hyped up and as much as it pains me to admit it, it’s going to be pretty cool.  For as angry as everyone was about the whole Favre saga, I don’t think there will be many people who don’t tune into this one (aside from some Green Bay bars). In the end, I think Brett Favre gets the last laugh as the Vikings come out victorious.

I’ve gotten a little crazy with my Cleveland pick and St. Louis picks, but I think Derek Anderson will actually play well and that St. Louis will cover, even if they don’t win.  I’m gutsy (or dumb).

And if you think I’m stupid, here are Chip’s picks:

And here are Dupree’s:
