Somewhere deep below the surface at Gates Mills North Cemetery in Cuyahoga County, Ohio, Bob Feller is spinning in his grave.

Back in November, the folks at the Bob Feller Museum in Van Meter, Iowa announced they would be closing up shop. But then, there was good news…the site would will stay open (kinda of) doubling as the town’s new City Hall and as a shrine to the Hall of Famer.

And the best part, fans could stop in free of charge.

But instead of playing host to charity events and autograph signings, the building is now merely a brick and mortar structure built around a single trophy case featuring a handful of trophies honoring the former pitcher who died in 2010.

There is a silver lining though.

Most of the museum’s collection will be heading to Progressive Field in Cleveland to be part of an exhibit honoring the Indians the 266-game winner. A few items are bound for Mobile, Alabama and the U.S.S. Alabama, the battleship Feller served on in World War II.
