Bobby Jackson joins Coach Westphal’s staff

Hidden among today’s NBA implosion news was the announcement by former Sacramento Kings six man, Bobby Jackson, that he is joining Coach Paul Westphal’s staff as an assistant coach.  Strangely enough, the announcement did not come through the conventional route of a press release, but by Jackson himself via twitter.

Cowbell Kingdom sources have confirmed the appointment of Jackson, but no word yet on who may or may not be returning from the 2010-11 Kings staff, which included Head Coach Paul Westphal, assistants Jim Eyen, Mario Elie, Truck Robinson, Otis Hughley and basketball legend Pete Carrill.

Since his retirement from the NBA in 2009, the 38-year-old Jackson has worked for the Kings as a Regional Scout and Player Development Coach.
