Fack. Just when you think last night’s score-flattering 3-2 loss to the Florida Panthers could not have been worse, reports surface that Bobby Ryan will be gone for the foreseeable future with a fractured finger.
Lovely.
One of the blog’s Twitter followers @Fffeisty tweeted video of Ryan showing his teammates his right hand on the bench.
[youtube https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ObiC560ttoA]Losing one of your best offensive weapons for any extended period of time is brutal, but when the team is in the midst of a 3-5-2 stretch in which the results are finally starting to reflect their performance on the ice, the loss becomes a little bit tougher to stomach (especially if it leads to more power play ice time for Chris Neil).
Get well soon, Bobby.
