Those green jerseys aren’t that lucky…

Bobcats 112, Raptors 86

For the upcoming game on Friday, the Raptors will wear their alternate purple and gold jerseys in hopes of some better play against the Bobcats (end sarcasm).  The Raps put on a horrible defensive display as they looked flat against the Charlotte Bobcats, losing 112-86.  Gerald Wallace torched the Raptors with 25 pts, 9 boards, 5 assists and three steals and DJ Augustin had 15 point off of the bench.  The Raptors shot 37% in the first half.

The Raptors shot 27-71 from the floor last night, 3-16 from three point land and had 23 turnovers, it doesn’t much uglier than that.  Charlotte put on a good performance as they continue to make a run for the #8 spot in the East, while the Raps can only sit and watch those “mathematical” playoff chances dwindle into a donut.  The lone bright spot for the Raps was Chris Bosh with 18 pts and 14 rebounds.  The game just got away from the Raps in the second quarter hitting only four shots in the quarter.

Key Notes:

  • Bobcats had a lead as large as 27 pts
  • Boris Diaw had 14 pts for the Bobcats
  • Pops had 8 points, 3 boards
  • Raps play the Bobcats again on Friday
