Boedker Defeats Senators

Boedker really likes to score against the Senators. He got his second hat trick of the season last night, both just happened to be against the Senators. This is the first time in franchise history that a player has gotten two hat tricks against the same team in a season. It was also the first time it has happened against the Senators.

Dustin Jeffrey also scored his first goal as a Coyote, after getting five stitches from a puck to the face. Many fans didn’t realize the penalty against Jeffrey was over and thought Reider was just clearing the puck for a line change, but Jeffrey came out of the box, grabbed the puck and shot on Anderson for the goal.

With his brother on the ice for Ottawa and family in the arena, Michael Stone had a big game with two assists. Lindback also played well, although there were a few moments of what is he doing? Thankfully the Coyotes were able to get out of those situations. Lindback faced 38 shots ad stopped 35. He played a huge part in the win.

The Coyotes only had 19 shots on goal, with 4 getting past Anderson. Low shots on goal worked out well this time, but puck possession and shooting need to improve to make sure the Coyotes win the important games. It will be hard to maintain 4 goals on 19 shots. The Coyotes won all three games of this Thanksgiving homestand and hopefully will take this momentum on the road with them.

The next Coyotes game is Tuesday, December 1st in Nashville and will air locally on FS-A Plus. Start time is 6 pm, be sure to be on your couch and ready to tweet! I know I will be, follow along here.
