The Boise State Broncos will face off against the UConn Huskies this week at Rentschler Field in East Hartford, Connecticut. Boise State vs. UConn football tickets currently have an average ticket price of $73 with a get-in price of $23, according to ticket data provided by Easy Seat. For Boise State fans in the greater-Connecticut area, there are certainly good deals to be found on the secondary market, including tickets in the lower level 100’s starting at just $37 along the sidelines. You can be just a few rows behind the Boise bench for less than $100.
The Huskies enter this week’s game with the Broncos with a 1-1 record having lost their home opener against the BYU Cougars 35-10. They followed up the loss to BYU with a narrow victory over Stony Brook 19-16.
Entering the season, Coach Bob Diaco named Casey Cochran the starting quarterback for the Huskies, though Diaco stated he would employ a two-quarterback system to begin the year. In the opener, Cochran and senior Chandler Whitmer split snaps almost evenly, though late in the game, Cochran was hit hard by a BYU defender and suffered a concussion, one of many in his young career. Due to the injuries sustained from those concussions, Cochran recently retired from football, a difficult blow or both the player and the team.
This week, Boise fans should expect Whitmer to get the bulk of the snaps behind center but sophomore Tim Boyle will also get some action, according to Diaco. UConn’s offense will throw multiple different looks at Boise State, so it will be important for the team to prepare for the strengths and weaknesses of both quarterbacks.
Chances are, offensively, the Broncos should be able to do some damage to the Huskies. BYU had 513 total yards against UConn, a number Boise State should be able to reach if their offense plays up to their abilities.
