The Lightning have finalized their 2015-16 roster.
They will carry seven defensemen: Nikita Nesterov, Victor Hedman, Anton Stralman, Jason Garrison, Braydon Coburn, Matt Carle and Andrej Sustr. According to beat writer Joe Smith, Slater Koekkoek will be sent to Syracuse after being included on the 23-man roster filed with the NHL. That was most likely a cap-related move.
The Bolts will roster 13 forwards: C Steven Stamkos, RW Ryan Callahan, LW Jonathan Drouin, LW Ondrej Palat, C Tyler Johnson, RW Nikita Kucherov, C Valtteri Filppula, LW Alex Killorn, RW Erik Condra, C Brian Boyle, C Cedric Paquette, RW J.T. Brown and C Vladislav Namestnikov.
The two goalies will be Ben Bishop and Kevin Poulin (Until Andrei Vasilevskiy returns in early November)
The Bolts open the season at Amalie Arena on Thursday night against the Philadelphia Flyers.
