The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled forward JT Wyman from the Syracuse Crunch of the American Hockey League today, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced. Additionally, the Lightning reassigned defenseman Mark Barberio to Syracuse.

Wyman, 6-foot-2, 209 pounds, has played in 73 games for the Crunch this season, recording 12 goals and 35 points with a plus-11 rating. He is tied for sixth on the team for goals and is seventh for points. Wyman has played in 318 career AHL games, notching 59 goals and 132 points. He has also played in 45 Calder Cup Playoff games, registering four goals and 13 points.

A native of Edina, Minnesota, Wyman has played in 43 career NHL games, 40 of which came with the Lightning last season. He has recorded two goals and 11 points, all with Tampa Bay.

Wyman was signed as a free agent on July 1, 2011.

Barberio made his NHL debut with the Lightning on April 9 against the Ottawa Senators. He played in two games and logged a season-high 16:47 in ice time on April 11.
