The Tampa Bay Lightning cut six players today. They reassigning 2014 draft picks center Brayden Point, defenseman Ben Thomas, defenseman Dominik Masin and forward Cristiano DiGiacinto to their junior teams.
Defenseman Kodie Curran and center Mike Aviani were released from their training camp invites.
Coach Rick Bowness said. “(Curran) is a big kid who can skate and move the puck. He’s not looked one bit out of place at all.”
More cuts will come on Wednesday, tonight’s first exhibition game.
