We awoke this morning to news that ESPN’s Stuart Scott succumbed to cancer, his long-time nemesis that he beat at least twice before. We will all suffer by his loss.

Stuart and ESPN reached prominence together. It seems to most of us that we could not pay attention to one without the other. Now the ESPN universe will seem out of balance, for awhile at least. Lets remember him the way most of us last saw him, with his remarkable speech when accepting the ESPY award in 2014.
