Steve Zipay at Blue Notes gives us a nice update on some of the injured Rangers…
“Tortorella said Derek Boogaard, who is believed to have suffered a concussion in a fight with Matt Carkner on Dec. 9, “is not symptom-free”…Ryan Callahan is on the trip, and watched practice in street clothes and wearing a soft brace on his broken left hand….Vinny Prospal said his surgically repaired knee is getting a little stronger every day.”
….i hate to compare Boogaard with Brashear because he’s been a lot better, but man all these injuries to the Rangers tough guy are frighteningly similar.
…assuming we’re not going to see Prospal or Callahan until February.
Speaking of injures, Zipay also reports that all the Rangers players are now wearing gloves with the extra padding. Equipment czar said some players switched after Ryan Callahan’s hand was broken.
