Ah, the dog days of summer. It’s hot, humid, and NHL players everywhere are enjoying time off before training for next season begins. A number of Lightning players are involved with stuff around the world and we wanted to catch you up on what the boys are up to.

Steven Stamkos is in Toronto… enjoying his summer vacation. The Lightning captain took in a baseball game at the Rogers Centre between the Toronto Blue Jays and the Tampa Bay Rays. Stammer and former Bolt Teddy Purcell had prime front row seats near the Rays dugout. Steven sported a retro Rays cap and visited the clubhouse after the game. After getting a look at the Rays post-game celebration dance-party he mentioned wanting to bring something like that back to the Lightning locker room.

Maybe he was the photographer. https://twitter.com/Akillorn19/status/621746249956499456 Alex Killorn is back home in Montreal and using some of his break to give back to the community. He took part in a June 12th charity golf event put on by the Andy Collins for Kids. Their fundraising is donated to Hospital Children in Montreal. Ben Bishop is back home as well. The St. Louis native made headlines on the Fox 2 news back home and talked about the Bolts’ run to the Stanley Cup Final:http://player.ooyala.com/iframe.js#ec=12dGQ5djoofnvyA7ExQPQy1IDzBfRRJI&pbid=c660b791c3704ff69d4162d7adb7c4a1
