Boxscore Breakdown #104: Dre Day – Dodgers 5, Angels 3

So that Andre Ethier-for-C.J. Wilson swap suddenly seems like a pretty big missed opportunity, no? I still wouldn’t have done that deal, but it is a lot harder to say that after Ethier almost single-handedly beat the Angels and Wilson’s elbow gave out. The bigger missed opportunity is the Angels getting a win to end their losing streak.

Howie Kendrick very much looks like he will go down in history as one of the great former Angels who will always haunt the Halos.

Yep, just one guy. Definitely wouldn’t have wanted to use that guy. Drew Rucinski, got to get him in the game, but not that other guy. The Dodgers bullpen failed them too, but not quite as badly.

They’ve had so many aborted comebacks in the last week that when they pulled off the comeback twice, you figured this game was meant to be. NOPE.
