Another game, another double-digit output for the Angels, another beatdown of an opponent. Honestly, it is kind of freaking me out. I suffered a concussion in a car accident over the weekend and am legitimately starting to wonder if I am just hallucinating all of these huge offensive performances because it just seems impossible that a team could struggle so much for so long and then just flip the switch like they seemingly have. Of course, the All-Star break is coming up fast, just in time to murder any and all momentum.
Angels 10, Rockies 2

For all the runs they scored, the Angels didn’t actually have any truly big games. Mike Trout was best with his homer, single and HBP. What helped was that they only had 11 hits, but four of them were homers, two of which came from unlikely sources, Matt Joyce and Chris Iannetta.

All that time in Salt Lake clearly showed Andrew Heaney how to pitch at altitude. He really just had that one bad pitch to Drew Stubbs. He was also incredibly efficient once again. Heaney may not be an ace, but he is going to soak up a lot of innings as a #2, it looks like. Chad Bettis had lots of bad pitches and really screwed over my fantasy team for the week.

The Rockies relievers did a great job of stopping the onslaught and the Angels relievers got some work in.

This is a graph type that we are seeing a lot of lately. I could get used to it.
Halo Hero
Finally, someone other than Cron leads the offensive onslaught.
