Losing to the Habs always sucks, but seeing Johnny Boychuk is 100x worse. Beside being a great human being with dreamy eyes, he's a beast on the blue line, and can take hits that would make other men's bones crumble to dust. So when you see him laying on the ice being put on a stretcher, you shit your pants.
Luckily for Johnny, he's perfectly fine.
He injured his back after Patches slammed him into the boards last night. He was brought to the hospital as a precaution but everything checked out and he was allowed to fly back to Boston with the team.
What the media isn't telling you, though, is that he didn't fly on a plane.

Obviously, Pacioretty had kryptonite-laced gloves to take Boychuk down. No word yet on when Johnny will be back in the line-up. We're going to guess it's going to be a few days at least. Back injuries aren't to be trifled with, kryptonian items make it worse, so he's probably going to be sore for a few days.
But hey, Johnny. How awesome are you?
